0:00 Jeff Bezos is asking for ten billion dollars.0:02 And while Meta is still navigating that one-point-four trillion dollar lawsuit we covered in episode 52, Bezos is making a move that completely changes the game for his space company, Blue Origin.0:14 For the first time EVER, he's seeking outside investors, targeting a one hundred and thirty billion dollar valuation.0:21 This isn't just another funding round; it's a fundamental shift for one of the most secretive companies in tech.0:28 But that’s not the only massive check being written.0:32 A quantum computing startup called Oratomic, which didn't even exist in February, just raised three hundred million dollars.0:39 Let that sink in.0:40 It’s one of the largest early-stage quantum rounds in history.0:44 Elsewhere, Apple just inked a chip deal with Broadcom valued at over thirty billion dollars, securing its supply chain for years to come.0:52 And Meta, despite its legal woes, is building its first data center in Canada—a nine billion dollar project.0:59 So what does all this tell you?1:01 It's what Adam Parker at Trivariate Research said this week: “You can’t be bullish on the U.S.1:07 equity market and bearish on tech.” The numbers back him up.1:10 Nearly sixty percent of all S&P 500 earnings growth for the next two years is expected to come from these companies.1:17 So let’s go deeper on those first two stories, because they show you where the real, long-term bets are being placed.1:25 First, Blue Origin.1:26 For more than two decades, this has been Jeff Bezos’s private project.1:30 His personal, multi-billion-dollar sandbox to build rockets.1:34 He sold Amazon stock, he funded it himself.1:36 That just ended.1:37 The decision to raise ten billion dollars from external investors signals one thing: ACCELERATION.1:43 You don’t bring in outsiders and accept the scrutiny that comes with a one hundred and thirty billion dollar valuation unless you’re about to hit the gas, hard.1:53 This is Blue Origin preparing to go head-to-head with SpaceX on a scale we haven't seen before.1:59 It’s a move from a founder’s passion project to a full-blown industrial titan preparing for war.2:05 The quiet phase is over.2:06 Now, let's talk about Oratomic.2:08 A three-hundred-million-dollar Series A is already a headline.2:12 But for a company that's only four months old?2:15 In quantum computing?2:16 That's almost unheard of.2:18 The investors here—ARCH Venture Partners, Spark Capital, Khosla—are not making a small bet.2:23 They’re funding the construction of what the CEO calls “fault-tolerant, utility-scale quantum machines.” This isn't just another software play.2:32 This is deep, hard-tech infrastructure.2:34 They’re building the kind of computer that could one day break modern cryptography, or discover new drugs, or design materials that don't exist today.2:44 The fact that this much capital is flowing this quickly into something so foundational tells you that the smartest money in the room believes the timeline for truly useful quantum computing just got a LOT shorter.2:57 It’s a chase for a new kind of supremacy.2:59 While today's tech giants fight over AI models and search dominance, a parallel race is happening to build the very machines that will make today's AI look like a pocket calculator.3:10 So when you cut through the noise...3:13 the daily stock swings, the endless lawsuits...3:15 the real story today is about infrastructure.3:18 One founder is raising capital to build the highway to orbit.3:22 A new startup is raising it to build the computer that will redesign our world from the atom up.3:28 The bets being placed right now aren't just big anymore.3:31 They're foundational.
