0:00 Intel's stock just shot up twenty-five percent.0:02 On a day when the rest of the tech world is looking shaky, Intel—yes, that Intel—is having its best day in years.0:09 It’s a massive rally that screams one thing: the market is terrified, and it’s running back to what it thinks it knows.0:17 But the real story isn't who's up.0:19 It's who's getting squeezed.0:21 Let's talk about the squeeze.0:22 This morning, Meta announced it's cutting ten percent of its workforce.0:27 Not to be outdone, Microsoft just offered voluntary buyouts to seven percent of its US employees.0:33 Now, these aren't small moves.0:35 We're talking about tens of thousands of jobs vanishing from companies that were hiring anyone with a pulse just a few years ago.0:43 So, are they in trouble?0:44 Not even close.0:45 While they're handing out severance packages with one hand, they're writing billion-dollar checks for AI data centers with the other.0:53 This is the great realignment of 2026.0:55 Tech is shedding human capital to pour money into silicon capital.1:00 And that brings us to the company that's supposed to be printing money from all this: Nvidia.1:05 Except… it isn't.1:06 Nvidia’s stock is down over four percent today.1:09 Why?1:09 Because its biggest customers are suddenly becoming its biggest competitors.1:14 Amazon’s in-house chip business is reportedly booming.1:18 And Google just decided it’s going to start selling its custom Tensor Processing Units—its TPUs—directly to other companies.1:25 Think about that.1:26 For years, the game was simple: if you wanted to do serious AI, you bought chips from Nvidia.1:32 End of story.1:33 Now, the two companies with the biggest cloud platforms on Earth, Amazon and Google, are saying, "Thanks for the inspiration, but we'll take it from here." They’re still buying Nvidia hardware, sure.1:45 But the market is finally waking up to the fact that Nvidia’s total dominance might have a shelf life.1:51 The king of the hill is suddenly seeing two other contenders climbing up the slope, and they own the land the hill is built on.1:59 So while the software and chip giants are fighting a war in the cloud, two other companies are quietly trying to take over the ground.2:07 First, Tesla.2:08 In their Q1 earnings report, they confirmed it: preparations for the first large-scale Optimus robot factory will begin this quarter.2:16 This isn't a prototype reveal or a flashy demo video anymore.2:20 This is a production line.2:22 After that public unveiling in December, everyone wondered when it would get real.2:27 The answer is now.2:28 They're moving from a science project to a product.2:31 And then there's Uber.2:33 They're not just a taxi app anymore; they're building a full-on travel empire.2:37 They just announced a plan with Lucid and Hertz to operate around thirty THOUSAND autonomous robotaxis in the next few years.2:45 Thirty thousand!2:46 And to make the whole thing stickier, they’ve partnered with Expedia.2:50 So now, right inside the Uber app, you can book one of over seven hundred thousand hotels.2:56 You can literally get picked up from the airport by a robot car that takes you to a hotel you booked five minutes earlier, all without leaving a single app.3:05 This isn't an experiment.3:07 This is the endgame for mobility as a service.3:10 So what's the picture today?3:12 It's a split-screen.3:13 On one side, you have this brutal, internal battle for the future of AI infrastructure.3:18 Layoffs at Meta, buyouts at Microsoft, and a price war that’s starting to chip away at Nvidia's fortress.3:25 It’s a fight over digital plumbing.3:27 On the other side of the screen, you have the first real-world consequences of that fight.3:32 Humanoid robots heading for the factory floor and autonomous cars filling the streets.3:38 The war for the cloud is being fought with layoffs and silicon.3:42 The prize is control over the real world—one robot, and one robotaxi, at a time.
