0:00 Donald Trump is reportedly 'livid' over the small crowd size for his Fourth of July events.0:06 Last week, we talked about his name popping up on street signs in Hyderabad, but this week the obsession with scale got a little more...0:16 desperate.0:16 He's apparently scrambling to get people to come to the White House, which is a new one.0:22 A president begging people to show up to his own house party.0:27 Now, for the rest of the material this week.0:30 In an exclusive interview with CNBC, he claimed he ended EIGHT wars.0:35 With TARIFFS.0:36 Yes.0:36 Tariffs.0:36 The thing you put on steel, not the thing you use to broker peace in the Middle East.0:42 Politifact rated a nearly identical claim "mostly false," partly because, you know, he started a war with Iran in February.0:51 Minor detail.0:52 Meanwhile, the Supreme Court told him his appeal in the E.0:56 Jean Carroll case was a no-go.0:58 Her lawyers immediately filed a motion saying, and I am paraphrasing here, "It's time to pay the five million dollars." So the bill is coming due.1:09 And my absolute favorite note of the week...1:12 some supporters are now claiming that someone is "geoengineering" the weather against Trump.1:18 I am NOT making this up.1:20 It hailed at Mount Rushmore ahead of his speech, and the theory wasn't "bad luck." It was "nefarious atmospheric manipulation." Obviously.1:30 So let's dive into this.1:31 Let's connect the empty fairgrounds to the imaginary peace deals.1:36 Because there IS a pattern here.1:38 The fury over small crowds...1:40 it's just so revealing.1:42 You've got the whole spectacle of America's 250th birthday.1:46 The "Freedom 250" train rides, the speeches, the whole production.1:51 But reports say the "Great American State Fair" was a flop.1:55 Painfully small turnout.1:57 And he's LIVID.1:58 Not about policy, not about the message, but about the optics.2:02 The empty seats.2:03 It’s like a comedian realizing the two-drink minimum isn't gonna cover the rent.2:09 This is the same logic as the CNBC interview.2:12 When Joe Kernen asks him about his record, he doesn't give a policy answer.2:17 He gives a headline.2:19 "I solved eight wars." It doesn't have to be TRUE.2:22 It just has to be a big, shiny, unbelievable claim.2:26 It's the political equivalent of saying you own a skyscraper because you once took a leak in the lobby.2:33 There's no follow-up question that can penetrate that level of reality distortion.2:39 So what does it all add up to?2:41 You've seen this before.2:43 It's the logic of a failing real estate project.2:46 When you can't get tenants, you put up a bigger, flashier sign.2:51 When the building is empty, you issue a press release about the AMAZING ecosystem you're building.2:58 The product doesn't matter.2:59 The story about the product is everything.3:02 Here, the product is the presidency.3:05 And the story is...3:06 getting weird.3:07 We have claims of ending wars that are still happening, and we have conspiracy theories that the sky itself is an enemy of the administration.3:17 It's a full-on narrative collapse.3:20 The unifying theme is no longer "Make America Great Again." It's "Please Clap." This week wasn't a celebration of the Fourth of July.3:29 It was a frantic attempt to prove the party wasn't a bust.3:33 He's not just the president; he's the host of a party no one wants to go to, telling stories about wars he didn't end.3:42 This isn't a presidency.3:43 It's a one-man show playing to an empty house.
