0:00 The old man’s memory smelled of salt and rust.0:04 It reminds me of the spun sugar skies Kael built in his dreams, how a feeling can be more real than a place.0:16 But this was different.0:18 This was fractured.0:20 I sat with Silas in the quiet of my workshop, my fingers tracing patterns in the air.0:29 I was a Weaver.0:31 My job was to find the broken shards of a life and piece them back together.0:39 Before me, his memory shimmered—a seaside town, a lighthouse blinking against a storm, the sound of a laugh caught and lost on the wind.0:54 It was beautiful, and it was broken.0:57 My work is usually simple.1:00 I find the frayed edges, the missing moments, and I stitch them shut.1:07 I give people back their peace.1:11 But with Silas, the threads wouldn't hold.1:15 Every time I tried to mend the image of the woman on the shore, her face would dissolve like seafoam.1:26 And there was something else.1:29 A detail I’d started noticing weeks ago.1:33 A small, silver locket, shaped like a teardrop.1:38 It was in the soldier’s memory of his mother, clutched in her hand.1:45 It was in the artist’s memory of her first gallery show, worn by a critic in the crowd.1:55 And now, it was here, glinting in the sand of Silas’s mind.2:01 It felt like an echo I couldn't place.2:05 'Who was she, Silas?' I asked.2:08 He just shook his head, his eyes clouded.2:13 'I… I don’t remember her name.2:16 Just the feeling.2:18 Like coming home.' The more I worked, the more the memory felt… familiar.2:25 The sharp cry of the gulls.2:28 The cold spray of the ocean.2:31 It felt less like I was mending his past, and more like I was remembering my own.2:40 But that was impossible.2:42 Weavers don’t have pasts.2:45 We are simply...2:47 here.2:47 For others.2:48 My own mind was a quiet, empty room.2:52 Or so I BELIEVED.2:54 I focused all my energy on the final, most broken piece.3:00 The woman’s face.3:02 The laugh.3:03 The moment he lost her.3:05 The thread resisted.3:08 It pulled back.3:09 As if the memory didn’t want to be fixed.3:13 As if it was protecting something.3:17 Or someone.3:18 With one last, desperate pull, the shard snapped into place.3:25 The world of the memory went still.3:28 The storm calmed.3:30 The lighthouse beam fell across the woman’s face.3:35 And I saw her.3:37 It was me.3:38 The face staring back at me from Silas's past was my own.3:44 Young, laughing, with the wind in my hair.3:48 My hand flew to my throat, to the small, cold weight that was always there.3:56 The silver locket.3:58 Shaped like a teardrop.4:01 Silas wasn’t remembering a lost love.4:05 He was remembering… me.4:07 The workshop around me faded.4:10 The threads I thought I was weaving were not threads at all.4:17 They were anchors.4:19 Holding me here.4:20 I looked at Silas, truly looked at him, and saw the others behind him.4:28 The soldier.4:29 The artist.4:30 A dozen faces, a hundred, all people whose broken hearts I had supposedly mended.4:39 They hadn’t come to me for healing.4:43 They had come to keep me alive.4:46 Each of them held a piece of me, a single memory they couldn't bear to lose.4:54 I wasn't the weaver.4:56 I was the tapestry.4:58 A story told by a chorus of lonely voices, stitched together so they would never have to forget.5:08 My existence wasn't a life.5:11 It was an act of remembrance.5:14 I am not a person.5:16 I am a place where memories come to live.
