0:00 the breathless narrator bright animated youthful highly expressive quick paced with audible wonder at exactly seven minutes past sunrise the color red vanished just last week pip had been chasing giggling shadows by the river and now this the world had gone completely totally gray pip sat up in bed and blinked the bright red blanket was now the color0:27 of a dusty road the sunny yellow walls were the color of a cloudy sky even the juicy strawberry sitting in a bowl on the nightstand was a sad boring pencil lead gray bip took a bite it still tasted like a strawberry but it felt less happy less strawberry ish pip ran to the window it wasn't just the0:48 bedroom the whole town of glimmerbrook was gray the green grass the blue sky the rainbow colored roofs of the houses gone just shades of stone and smoke and shadow the cheerful bustling town was quiet people were moving slowly looking at their feet it was like the world had forgotten how to smile pip knew right then and there1:12 that this was a job for them someone had to get the colors back but where did they go pip searched the house top to bottom under the sofa just gray dust bunnies in the cookie jar only gray cookies then just as pip was about to give up they saw it a single tiny shimmering thread it was thinner1:35 than a spider's web and it glowed with every color of the rainbow it snaked out from under the front door and led up the street a tiny streak of hope in a world of gray so pip followed it the thread wiggled up up up the silent mountain a place where the rocks were sharp and the wind always1:53 sounded like it was telling secrets the higher pip climbed the colder it got the gray rocks were slippery and the gray clouds felt so close like a big sand blanket finally at the very top the thread disappeared into a dark cave pip took a deep breath and stepped inside and that's when they saw it oh cool creature2:15 it was huge bigger than a house and covered in shaggy gray fur it was fast asleep and it was snoring but these weren't normal snores with every snore a sound like a giant bathtub drain it was sucking the color right out of the world to a giant twisty straw all the colors were swirling inside a massive glass2:36 jar next to it a beautiful stolen rainbow salvy this was a grumble spout and it looked really sad even in its sleep pip knew they couldn't just fight a grumble spout and they couldn't just smash the jar the colors might get lost forever pip noticed the grumble spout was clutching the jar like a teddy bear it wasn't2:58 being mean it was lonely it was hoarding the colors because they were the only beautiful thing it had so pip had an idea a brilliant clever pip sized idea they pulled a small shiny pocket mirror from their coat carefully pip angled the mirror to catch the light from the swirling jar of colors a tiny dancing window appeared3:19 on the dark cave wall3:22 the grumble spout snoring stopped one giant eye fluttered open it saw the little rainbow dancing on the wall and its grumpy mouth twitched into a small sleepy smile it loved it pip showed the grumble spout how to use other things in the cave shiny bits of rock a puddle of water to make more rainbows the grumble spout3:46 finally understood it didn't have to keep the colors to enjoy them it could make beauty all by itself with a happy sigh the grumble spout pulled the cork from the giant jar whoosh a tidal wave of color exploded out of the cave racing down the mountain the sky turned blue the grass turned green and pip's jacket turned4:08 bright wonderful orange back in glimmerbrook people cheered as the world burst back to life pip was a hero and now sometimes if you look very very closely at the top of the silent mountain you can see a tiny rainbow dancing against the rocks a secret hello from a brand new friend
