0:00 Donald Trump’s media company plans to sell his social media posts, milliseconds early, to Wall Street.0:05 Yesterday, in episode eighty, we talked about the shifting economic chessboard.0:09 Today, someone is trying to sell a cheat code to the players.0:12 This service, called Truth PSI, would give trading firms a head start on news that moves markets.0:18 It’s a new frontier in monetizing political speech.0:20 Here are the other headlines moving the needle today.0:23 The markets are spooked.0:24 The S&P 500 dropped zero-point-seven percent, the Dow fell slightly, and the Nasdaq took the biggest hit, down one-point-four-five percent.0:32 The VIX—the market's fear gauge—spiked over twelve percent.0:35 Investors are getting nervous.0:36 But look closer, and the economic signals are crossed.0:39 Continuing unemployment claims actually fell by sixteen thousand.0:43 And the Philly Fed Index, a measure of regional manufacturing, just went nuclear.0:47 It jumped from ten-point-three in June to FORTY-ONE-POINT-ONE in July.0:51 That’s a massive surge in activity.0:53 Disney is rethinking its entire streaming model.0:55 The company is now considering a free, ad-supported version of Disney+.0:59 Subscriber churn is real, and the competition from free services is biting.1:03 This would be a major pivot for a company that built its streaming empire on premium, ad-free content.1:08 In defense, a company called Powerus just advanced to Phase Three of the U.S.1:12 Army’s Adaptive Strike Competition.1:14 Its subsidiary, Tandem Defense, is in the running for a one-hundred-thousand-dollar prize and potential contracts after its drone platform was field-evaluated at the National Training Center.1:24 The final exercises are this fall.1:26 Another defense player, TECfusions, was just at the U.S.1:29 Army War College for the Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit.1:33 They specialize in AI infrastructure, and they were meeting directly with military leaders about the future of defense tech.1:39 And finally, two quick hits.1:41 Pony AI, the autonomous driving company, set a date for its second-quarter results: August eighteenth.1:46 And a new player, Eagle Nuclear Energy Corp, is making moves to create a domestic U.S.1:51 uranium supply chain.1:52 Okay, let's go deeper on two of these stories.1:54 They seem unrelated, but they show a fundamental split in where power and value are being created right now.2:00 First, back to Trump's Truth PSI.2:02 Here's the thing.2:03 This isn't just about another subscription service.2:06 The Associated Press reports this would allow Wall Street firms to get posts from Trump and other major accounts "in milliseconds so they could profit off subsequent moves in stocks, bonds and interest rates." Milliseconds.2:17 In high-frequency trading, that is an ETERNITY.2:20 Think of it like a trader getting the jobs report a full second before it hits the wires.2:25 It’s a guaranteed edge.2:26 The plan raises immediate questions about market fairness and the ethics of a former and potentially future president selling privileged access to information that could move global markets or relate to national security.2:38 This isn't just a product.2:39 It's the weaponization of a news feed for profit.2:42 Now, let's turn to that other name: Eagle Nuclear Energy.2:45 While one company is selling information by the millisecond, this one is playing a game measured in decades.2:50 Equity Insider put it perfectly: "The United States has decided it wants two things it spent decades letting atrophy: a domestic uranium supply chain, and a new generation of reactors." Eagle is doing BOTH.3:01 They own the largest conventional measured and indicated uranium deposit in the United States.3:06 For years, the U.S.3:07 has relied on imports from places like Russia and Kazakhstan.3:11 Eagle is building the foundation to end that reliance.3:13 But they aren't just a mining company.3:15 They're also developing AI-ready small modular nuclear reactors.3:19 These aren't the giant, costly plants of the past.3:21 They're designed to be built faster, safer, and deployed where the grid needs them most, especially for powering the massive data centers that AI demands.3:30 So you have two pictures of America today.3:32 One is a high-speed, digital play to monetize political influence for a handful of traders.3:37 It’s about exploiting tiny gaps in time for financial gain.3:40 The other is a slow, heavy, physical strategy to rebuild the literal bedrock of national energy security.3:45 One is a trade.3:46 The other is an investment in sovereignty.3:48 One company is selling access.3:50 The other is building power.
